That’s right; Happy Thanksgiving! Not Happy Black Friday, Happy Black Thursday, or whatever it’s called now that retailers have decided to bastardize the holiday with sales this evening instead of at midnight like it should be. This day only happens once a year, where we all get to sit down with our loved ones and enjoy a sumptuous meal while reflecting on what we’re all so thankful for. I’d rather spend it doing just that instead of standing in line for an extremely cheap TV or a $25 copy of Dishonored or Madden ’13. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with doing that, but that’s not what this day is for and the two days should be kept separate, not have the materialistic and chaotic sales day override a day that is far more meaningful. Some people are actually protesting it, but I’ll merely frown upon it.
With that little rant out of the way, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and from The Maverick Gamer, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
